Offertory Procession

Offertory Procession

“Lord, receive our gifts in this wonderful exchange:

from all you have given us we bring you these gifts, and in return, you give us yourself.” - St. Augustine

During the celebration of the Lord's Day Masses, once the altar has been set, an altar server leads the individuals bearing the gifts of the offertory forward to greet the priest at the base of the sanctuary steps, which he in turn takes to the altar.

If you have requested the intention for a given Mass, you are invited to present the gifts, but it is not required.

Anyone wishing to present the gifts in the Offertory Procession of weekend Masses should notify the usher at least ten minutes before the Mass.
