Fundraising Committee

Our new fundraising committee came together in January 2024 to focus exclusively on raising money for the building fund which will enable us to build a new parish social center. This group will brainstorm and coordinate ways to raise money in addition to our existing fundraisers - the Spring Cash Raffle, the Giant Tag Sale, and the Christmas Fair - to accomplish this parish goal.

Throughout the year, there are other fundraising efforts which support the ongoing day-to-day expenses of running the parish. These include the oil fund, the flower fund and Giving Tuesday fundraiser which assists us in filling the gap in regular weekly and monthly donations.

The parish relies entirely on good-will donations to cover all operating expenses.

Fundraising & Community

2 Corinthians 9:7 tells us, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” A community of believers can make Jesus’ presence felt in our part of the world not only through the spiritual work done in our daily lives, but also through the events and celebrations that bring us together. Likewise, our physical buildings show the world that the Church, which was established by Jesus over 2,000 years ago, is just as necessary and relevant today and will continue to be so in the future that we will not be here to see.

The Church is a non-profit organization that relies entirely on donations to meet general operating expenses and carry out its important spiritual work. In addition to the regular weekly and monthly support of our parishioners, we also hold fundraisers which raise necessary monies. Some fundraisers also provide opportunities to come together and work for the common goal, thus strengthening our community.

Parishioners feel valued and connected when they share their time, talent and treasure. Your gifts of time and talent are unique to you, and your gift of treasure is of value no matter the size. Remember the words of St. Francis of Assisi “It is in giving that we receive.”

In the early Church, Jesus commissioned His followers with a mission to go out and proclaim the Gospel throughout the world, not only in word, but also in action and deed.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)
