Why or God Moment Stories

Just as it is important for us to share Mass Times, parish history, activities and group information, it is also essential for us to celebrate and share who we are - and why we are - a people of faith. For that purpose, we asked parishioners to share their "Why" or "God Moment"; be it an impression, an exprerience, or a moment in which they encounterd the beauty of our faith in a sense of gratitude, awe, or conviction.

One parishioner shared the following experience about why she was drawn to the Catholic faith: "I did not know what I was missing until I married into a Catholic family. My mother-in-law was such a beautiful, quiet witness that I found myself thinking 'I want what she has!' What she possessed was the peace of Christ and it was His fragrance in her life which drew me to the Catholic Church." -KK

We hope that the "Why" or "God Moment" stories that follow will make you aware of how God is very much alive and may be working in your own life.

St. Francis of Assisi is my parish family. At morning Mass a women reache dout and invited meto breakfast with the morning Mass group. That was the beginning of my becoming an active member of this family. It has been my support through many struggles, health issues, and loss of my husband. I am ever grateful for that one act of welcome! - Rita Lee
